Financial Literacy
We believe financial literacy should begin at a young age, teaching children these valuable life skills beginning in elementary school. Bankers visit our local schools each year using the Teach Children to Save program created by the American Bankers Association 25 years ago. The Bank also sponsors the Everfi Financial Literacy program each school year in local elementary, middle and high schools. If you are an educator within our banking footprint and are interested in the Everfi Financial Literacy program, please contact us to learn more. The Bank provides this program at no cost to the schools who use it.
Below you can check out our favorite tips and resources from the ABA website page Youth & Money. There are also fun online learning games that teach children money skills, pointers for parents and a link to financial calculators.
