Marie was raised near Weston, Oregon. She graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with degrees in accounting and small business entrepreneurship. She is also certified in financial planning and analysis.
Marie started her career in public accounting for Dickey & Tremper, LLP, in Pendleton, Oregon. She then moved to the private sector joining the Threemile Canyon Farms team working as a staff accountant, Controller, and Financial Planning & Analysis Manager before moving to Umatilla Electric as manager the Finance team there.
Recently, Marie has started her own businesses offering financial consulting services to businesses in the area across multiple industries including Agriculture, Energy, Renewables and Construction.
She has served on the REAL Oregon (Resource Education Agricultural Leadership) board as well as in an advisory capacity for Morrow County committees.
She has a passion for volleyball and has been coaching high school teams since 2015, starting in Boardman and most recently, as the Head Coach for Weston McEwen High School in Athena.
Cain and her husband, Jacob, live in Athena with their two children where they own and operate their own cattle ranch and custom hay operation.
