Amber Schlaich
VP / Agricultural and Commercial Loan Officer

Amber joined Bank of Eastern Oregon’s Heppner branch in 2016 and serves customers throughout Morrow, Gilliam, and Wheeler counties, as well as surrounding areas.

Before beginning her banking career, Amber spent many years working in agriculture and natural resources. Her experience includes positions with the USDA Farm Service Agency and USDA Forest Service, along with successfully securing grants through the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board. She also worked closely with local farmers and ranchers on natural resource restoration projects throughout the Lower John Day River Basin.

Amber earned a degree in Natural Resources from Oregon State University. A native of Eastern Washington, she grew up among the rolling hills of Dayton.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys raising and training performance horses and sharing that passion with her two daughters.
