Bank of Eastern Oregon among 200 top performing banks in nation
American Banker magazine has ranked four Oregon banks among the top 200 community banks in the country.
The magazine, a trade publication based in New York City, named Centerpointe Community Bank of Hood River, BEO Bancorp of Heppner, Siuslaw Financial Group of Florence and Corvallis-based Citizens Bancorp to the list based on average return of shareholder equity between 2010 and 2012. Banks with less than $2 billion in assets were eligible.
At 13.4% average return, Centerpointe ranked 27; with a 12.0% average return, BEO Bancorp ranked number 45; Siuslaw ranked number 88 at 9.9%. and Citizens ranked No. 199 at 7.9 percent.
