Bank of Eastern Oregon offers scholarships for graduating high school seniors in 2013

Heppner, Oregon, (December 26, 2012). “Bank of Eastern Oregon will again offer twenty $500 Agriculture/Business scholarships for graduating high school seniors at Heppner, Ione, Arlington, Condon, Boardman, Irrigon, Spray, Fossil, Burns, Crane, John Day, Monument, Long Creek, Dayville, Mitchell, Moro, Prairie City, Enterprise, Wallowa, and Joseph,” announced Jeff Bailey, president and CEO of Bank of Eastern Oregon. This marks the 21st year the bank is sponsoring the $500 scholarships to students. “Through the years, we have awarded approximately $96,000 in scholarships. We are proud of our graduates and pleased to continue offering the scholarships to the talented and deserving recipients in our market area,” continued Bailey. Applicants must plan to enroll in college in either agriculture or business. Selection will be based on scholarship, leadership, and citizenship.
